American Heroes Part 1/3

This is a video made by someone who hates America. I thought we could have a heated discussion on this. I always knew Lincoln was a bad pres (destroyed state's rights forever) but is the info in this video accurate? The information sounds like it could be true or it could be out of context and fabricated but let's watch it and then discuss.

God and Gettysburg -“One nation under God” were Lincoln’s immortal words

The Declaration of Independence, the Gettysburg Address, and the Constitution of the United States of America—those were the three texts in the blue pamphlet I found on the table in front of me as I took my seat at a conference at Princeton. On the cover was the logo of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy, an influential organization whose boardmembers include former New York Times Supreme Court reporter Linda Greenhouse, controversial Obama judicial nominee Goodwin Liu, former New York governor Mario Cuomo, former solicitors general Drew Days and Walter Dellinger, and former attorney general Janet Reno. The...

In order to take control of the US Senate this November, Republicans need a net gain of 10 seats. Some of those contests promise to be nail biters, others will be long shots and at least one looks like a gimme. According to a new poll, US Representative John Boozman (R-Arkansas) has a 25 point lead over incumbent Senator Blanch Lincoln (D-Arkansas).

Poll scandal sends campaign shockwaves

Saturday 31st of July 2010 09:38:10 PM

In the final weeks leading up to the June 8 Democratic Senate runoff in Arkansas, no data proved more pivotal in shaping conventional wisdom than a pair of Research 2000 polls showing challenger Bill Halter holding a lead. And those surveys—which fueled the narrative that Sen.Blanche Lincoln was a goner—may have been bogus, according to the blog that commissioned them. The prospect that polling data in a Senate contest of national consequence may have been faked has sent shockwaves across the campaign world, raising disturbing questions not only about the reliability of suddenly ubiquitous public polls, but about a new...

White House can't stop left's revolt

Saturday 31st of July 2010 09:38:10 PM

After Arkansas Sen. Blanche Lincoln eked out a primary win over labor-backed Lt. Gov. Bill Halter on Tuesday, an anonymous White House official snarked to Politico, "Organized labor just flushed $10 million of their members' money down the toilet on a pointless exercise." Oh, snap. Organized labor was not amused. AFL-CIO spokesman Eddie Vale fumed: "Is the lesson they are taking out of tonight that they can go after labor and anonymously trash us and we will put our tail in between our legs and slink home? That ain't happening." Other leading liberals expressed outrage and a commitment to keep...

SEIU officials: Blanche Lincoln should forget about our support in general election In a move that's likely to ratchet up already-white-hot post-Arkansas tensions between organized labor and the White House, officials with the labor powerhouse SEIU are confirming that they are all but certain not to back Blanche Lincoln in the general election. SEIU sends over a statement from national political director Jon Youngdahl that constitutes the first on-the-record threat since the election not to support the Democrat: For all the talk about what this race meant, the pundits are missing the point: all around this country their are families...
